Who We Are
Mission
Our mission is to celebrate and promote Caribbean arts and culture through vibrant events, educational programs, and community initiatives. We aim to build a strong sense of belonging and pride within the Caribbean diaspora, enhance cultural awareness among the broader public, and support economic development by empowering local businesses, entrepreneurs and artists.
Vision
To cultivate a community where Caribbean arts and culture is celebrated and embraced, fostering greater understanding that actively dismantles prejudices and promotes inclusivity.
ABOUT i-LAND FEST
Our flagship event, i-Land Fest, was established in 2024 as Vancouver Island’s first and only Caribbean Carnival—a multi-day celebration of Caribbean music, mas, dance, food, arts, and culture that brings the spirit of the Caribbean to Canada’s West Coast.
More than a festival, i-Land Fest creates a space for the Caribbean diaspora to celebrate and preserve our culture while sharing its history, traditions, and artistry with the wider community.
