We’re back — bringing the warmth, rhythm, and flavour of the Caribbean to Victoria this winter.

After welcoming over 4,000 attendees in our debut year, DWTN Winter Lime returns on Saturday, February 28, 2026, transforming Ship Point (Inner Harbour) into a vibrant Caribbean gathering as we close out Black History Month.

What’s a Lime?

In Trinidadian culture, “liming” means gathering, relaxing, and enjoying good vibes with good people. That’s exactly what DWTN Winter Lime is about — an all-ages outdoor celebration where families, friends, and the wider community come together to connect, move, eat, and experience Caribbean culture in the heart of downtown Victoria.

Even in February, we create warmth through culture, music, and community.

What to Expect

➤ A Historic All-Caribbean Food Lineup

For the first time in Victoria’s history, an entire major public event food lineup will feature exclusively Caribbean cuisine. From jerk chicken and doubles to patties and plantain, come hungry.

➤ Live Caribbean DJs

Soca, Reggae, Dancehall, and Calypso spinning all afternoon to keep the energy high.

➤ Soca Fit

A high-energy Caribbean aerobics session guaranteed to warm you up — even in winter.

➤ Cultural Activities

Interactive trivia, storytelling, and moments that highlight Afro-Caribbean history and heritage.

➤ Kids Zone

Family-friendly programming, activities, and games for our youngest limers.

➤ Marketplace Vendors

Browse 20+ local vendors offering Caribbean- and African-inspired goods, art, crafts, and services.

➤ Complimentary Hot Cocoa

We’re giving away free hot chocolate to the first 1,500 attendees — because winter + soca requires balance.
