Join us for the 2nd edition of Carnival Culture Connection (CCC), a vibrant celebration of Trinidad and Tobago’s Carnival right here in Victoria! Experience the colour, rhythm, and energy of Carnival as we bring this rich cultural tradition to the Caribbean families and broader community on Vancouver Island.

What to Expect:
CCC is an immersive, family-friendly, and inclusive event designed to celebrate Trinidad and Tobago’s Carnival and educate the community on this important cultural experience. We welcome you to explore the magic of Carnival through:

• Colourful Costumes & Decorations: Be amazed by the vibrant Carnival costumes on display, featuring the intricate designs that make this celebration a feast for the eyes.
• Caribbean Rhythms: Dance the night away to the beats of Soca, Calypso, Steelpan, and Rapso, music genres that bring the authentic sounds of Carnival to life.
• Culinary Delights: Enjoy mouthwatering Trinidadian dishes that offer a true taste of the Caribbean.

Family Fun & Community Connection:

This year’s event will be free and open to all, with activities for the whole family, including:

• A special “Kiddy Area” where children can play and enjoy the festivities.
• A welcome to the land by members of the Songhees Nation, who will honour the ancestral lands of the Lekwungen-speaking peoples of the Esquimalt and Songhees Nations, as well as the WSANEC Nation.
